If bus travel is attractive and long-distance routes are popular, then this has an impact on the market for touring coaches. Marcin Holcman can sing a song about this. The head of the BusStore Centre Warsaw observes the high demand for used touring coaches in Poland with a laughing and crying eye. "On the one hand, it is pleasing that Polish operators are also able to expand further and win new orders thanks to their networks in other EU countries. On the other hand, the high demand for touring coaches and the long delivery times for new vehicles is driving the prices for used vehicles to an elevation. As a BusStore, this makes it difficult for us to find affordable vehicles for our customers."

The fact that they are still able to find economical offers for their customers is certainly largely due to the many years of experience and good contacts in the industry that characterise Holcman and his team. Since 2007 at Daimler Buses, Marcin Holcman has been managing the site in the Polish capital since it was founded in 2013. His sales colleague Tomasz Kotas looks after customers in the south of the country from Katowice, while Michal Kaczmarski looks after the back office. Holcman is particularly proud that his team is one of the most successful BusStore locations in Europe: the Polish BusStore Centre has already received three awards internally for its performance.
Three-door regular-service buses imported from Austria.
The Polish BusStore team is one of the leading addresses for the sale of used buses and coaches and ensures a high number of sales every year. 80 percent of these are touring coaches. “Due to the high passenger capacity, three-axle vehicles with a length of 14 metres such as the Setra S 517 HD or the Mercedes-Benz Tourismo L are particularly popular in Poland,” reports Holman. Holcman also observes a slight increase in demand for used scheduled-service buses, but the supply is limited due to Poland’s requirement for three doors for solo buses. “The European BusStore network helps us with this,” says Holcman. “We most likely find three-door solo regular-service buses as used vehicles in Austria and then import them to Poland.”

Guaranteed customer loyalty.
Customers include small family businesses as well as larger operators. “All customers are equally important to us, regardless of whether they buy one or eight vehicles from us every few years,” says Marcin Hocman. He considers the fact that the majority of customers come back again and again to be a proof of trust: "It shows that the customers are very satisfied with our service and also with the quality of our vehicles. The majority of our sales go to customers we already know well."
