Dual premiere in Greece

Two new BusStore locations opened in Athens and Thessaloniki.

Used buses and coaches are very popular in Greece. With the new BusStore locations in Athens and Thessaloniki, BusStore reacts to the great demand in the southern European country.

"Especially in Greece, many customers turn to the used vehicle market. This is partly due to the economic crisis which still has its hold on the country," Emmanouil Skalidakis tells us, a sales representative at BusStore Athens. "For this reason, this segment represents a significant part of the market, which we need to address." This can be seen in the increasing sales figures for used buses and coaches, which has quadrupled since 2013.

How drastically the bus and coach market has changed in Greece can also be seen in the registration numbers for new vehicles in 2016 and 2017, which decreased from an already low two-digit level by a further 30%. Traditionally, Daimler Buses has a market share of about 30%. "For many customers, a used bus or coach is simply the most financially attractive way of expanding one's own vehicle pool and continuing growth.

The Setra brand is especially appealing to Greek customers, according to Skalidakis: "The brand attracts many customers in Greece who are looking for used buses and coaches with high quality and prestige. Particularly popular are Euro 5 models of the types S 415 GT HD, S 415 HD, and S 411HD."

"Part of a European network"

The Greek importer Mercedes-Benz Hellas S.A. already operated significant Daimler subsidiaries in Athens and Thessaloniki. New investments have now been made in both locations.

"We want to revive the used bus and coach market in Greece significantly and simply offer our customers more. This includes used vehicles in the premium category, which is associated with special quality features," Skalidakis continues. He is sure that BusStore will make a good impression on the Greek market with its range of products.

BusStore Thessaloniki

"BusStore mainly differentiates itself from other providers in that it offers tested and reliable vehicles of high quality and first-class customer service," Skalidakis elaborates. In addition, Greek BusStore customers can also use the Europe-wide OMNIplus 24h SERVICE. "And we should not forget the decisive advantage that both locations are part of the large European BusStore network. A network that is continually growing and with it the selection of used buses and coaches to which our customers have access."
