From childhood fascination to career.
Andreas Dreznjak, Area Manager Southwest, is a true bus fan.
“Recently I was able to buy a few beautiful gems”, says Andreas Dreznjak, pointing at a number of used buses on the premises of the BusStore Centre in Neu-Ulm. As he talks about the vehicles, the enthusiasm on his face is plain to see: “These are really nice touring vehicles we have here.”

Andreas Dreznjak is Area Manager Southwest at BusStore and is responsible for an area that includes Baden-Württemberg, Rhineland-Palatinate and Saarland. He has been on board since May 2024 and since then, he has been on the road a lot. “I visit our customers at their premises, and purchasing buses is currently a big part of BusStore", reports the 49-year-old.
The increased local presence provided by BusStore's new regional sales concept is being well received by bus companies, says Andreas Dreznjak. Customers appreciate being able to have meetings at their own premises, and Dreznjak loves "going on tour". “I get to learn about our customers' concerns and get to know their fleet and the vehicles”, he says.

From gravel trucker to passenger driver:
Andreas Dreznjak brings a wealth of knowledge about commercial vehicle technology, buses and the industry as a whole to his job. Last year, he moved from a Daimler Truck division to BusStore. “I've gone from gravel trucker to passenger driver”, he said about the change, which was motivated by years of fascination with buses and touring coaches. His enthusiasm for buses dates back to his school days in Stuttgart and is plain to see. “Back in the day, I was able to choose how I would travel to school, by bus or tram, and of course I chose to go by bus”, he says with a laugh.
Bus officer since childhood.
He was the “bus officer” even during his school years, when he helped organise class trips. He also had a job at the ride sharing centre selling bus journeys. When he finished school, he completed a training programme to work in tourism, for example for the company Incoming in Greece and Croatia. Here, he also had a lot of contact with bus tour operators and gained great insights into bus tourism – an important business field for many BusStore customers. On top of all that, he has a bus driver’s licence himself, and if time allows, he likes to go for a spin.

BusStore as a problem solver.
In a way, I'm also a problem solver", says Andreas Dreznjak. He comes alongside a customer if they are about to update their fleet or if they need some new vehicles quickly. "When a vehicle is needed, we work in a targeted manner and communicate the need within BusStore. We benefit greatly from our Europe-wide network here", he explains.
It's plain to see that Andreas Dreznjak is looking forward to the switch to electromobility in the bus sector. In day-to-day business, this is currently “still a long way off”, he says, but BusStore has already sold a few used e-buses and will continue to have an eye on the future and be open to new technology.
