COVID-19 retrofit packages for pre-owned vehicles
BusStore protective fittings reduce the risk of infection
3 packages – one goal. During the pandemic, BusStore's Basic, Business and Premium retrofit packages ensure increased safety on board. When buying their coach, BusStore customers can add on the COVID-19 protection that fits their requirements. And the best thing is, the Basic package is often already included for many Mercedes-Benz and Setra coaches.
Basic package: Antiviral active aerosol filter
The basic package includes installation of antiviral active filters into the air con system – to fit your BusStore vehicle. These multi-layer, progressively designed high-performance particle filters have an anti-viral layer that filters out even the finest airborne particles. Studies show that up to 99 percent of aerosols can be removed this way. The active filters are installed in the roof-mounted air conditioning unit, the air vents in the interior and in the front air-conditioning box of Mercedes-Benz and Setra coaches. Accompanying stickers reading “with active filters” can be displayed near entrance-doors, informing your passengers of the extra measures taken for their safety.
Business package: hand-sanitiser dispenser and maximum fresh air
In the business package, alongside the antiviral active filters, a hand-sanitiser dispenser for the boarding area is also provided. This is sensor-activated, allowing passengers touch-free hand sanitising when entering and alighting from the vehicle. The business package also includes a software solution for the air con system, further increasing the proportion of fresh air entering the passenger compartment.
Everything taken care of: the Premium package
The Premium package from BusStore achieves a significant level of infection protection in the coach. Alongside antiviral active filters, hand-sanitiser dispensers and the software update for increased fresh air, a driver protection partition is also included. This reliably protects the driver against infectious droplets and comes in either polycarbonate or real glass. A further component of the Premium package is online or in-person training for drivers. This will provide important information on the functioning of the ventilation system and roof-mounted air-conditioning unit. The driver will be trained in how to best ventilate the interior compartment. To inform passengers, an on-board video will be provided dealing with safety during coach travel. Textile stickers for labelling seats that should not be used round out the Premium package.

The three COVID-19 retrofit packages, Basic, Business and Premium, are available for many modern Mercedes-Benz and Setra models. In many countries the Basic package is already included. Depending on the bus model and availability, BusStore customers also have the option of adding individual protective measures and equipment one by one.
