So that customers can find the right buses more easily, BusStore has improved the labelling system for the vehicles on its website. Vehicles already containing the COVID-19 retrofit package “Basic” are clearly indicated as such using the label “With Active Filter”.
Three COVID-19 retrofit packages on offer
The “Basic” package covers active filter sets for integration in the air-con system. The high-performance particle filters have an anti-viral layer filtering out even the finest aerosol particles. Studies show that in this way up to 99 percent of aerosols can be removed.
In the “Business” package, alongside the antiviral active filters, a sensor-controlled disinfectant dispenser for the boarding area is also provided. The “Business” package also includes a software update for the air con system, increasing the proportion of fresh air entering the passenger compartment.
The “Premium” package also includes the antiviral active filters, disinfectant dispenser and software update to increase the flow of fresh air. It also provides a driver protection door, either made of polycarbonate or real glass. Further components of the “Premium” package include online or face-to-face driver training, giving important information on the function of the ventilation system and roof-top air-conditioning unit. An onboard video showing how to keep safe whilst on-board plus practical textile stickers for seats that should not be used, complete the “Premium” package.
