WHAT PERSONAL DATA WE PROCESS
We collect personal data on you when you become our customer, use our services, participate in our events, test drive a car or otherwise interact with us by leaving a contact request, ordering a newsletter or registering as a user of a service.
The personal data we process is received primarily from you directly or by collecting data regarding your purchases and the Veho services you use. We also receive personal data from external sources, such as from our partners or service providers.

Our use of cookies

Data received from other sources
We acquire data from private personal data registers, other service providers, from registers belonging to authorities, such as the Finnish Population Information System and Trafi.fi. If the decision to enter into a contract with you requires an external lender's decision, we reserve the right to check your credit rating before entering into the contract.
FOR WHAT PURPOSES WE NEED YOUR PERSONAL DATA
Selling products and services and maintaining the customer relationship
We process your information for the ordering and delivering of our vehicles, services and other products based on a contract between you and Veho and to manage our contractual relationship with you. For this purpose we often need to verify your identity as well.
We also need your information in order to get in contact with you, should we need to, in connection with your orders, reservations or purchased products, or after you get in touch with us for example to gain further information or to make an appointment. In these situations, processing of your personal data is based on an agreement between you and Veho or on Veho's legitimate interest to maintain its customer relationship with you.
Marketing and communications
We process personal data for marketing purposes and for building target groups for marketing. Personal data is processed also in customer satisfaction surveys and for selling our products and services. With personal data, we are able to personalize and target our offering to better match your interests.
We also use your details for customer communications. We may send you information and notices about our products and services.
The processing of your personal data is based on either your explicit consent, or if you already are a Veho customer, Veho's legitimate interest to maintain your customer relationship. When the marketing is based on your consent, you may withdraw your consent at any time. Whereas in case of direct electronic marketing, you can withdraw your consent by clicking the unsubscribe link at the end of the message.
We purchase advertising space on the internet for adverts that can be displayed on external marketing networks. Advertising is purchased by utilising target groups created by third parties and by utilising target groups created by Veho. Also cookies can be used to target advertisements based on the use of Veho's websites. This kind of marketing is also based on Veho's legitimate interest mentioned above.
Developing services and business
Based on our legitimate interest and customer relationship, we use your personal data for the development of our products, services, customer service, sales and marketing and for the management of processes.
We process your personal data, for example, when we process customer feedback and customer complaints we receive. Also the comments received as part of our customer satisfaction surveys are used for the development of our services and our business. You will receive an electronic customer satisfaction survey after being in contact with Veho car sales or servicing. You may decline from receiving customer satisfaction surveys by sending a message to asiakastiedot@veho.fi.
Managing business partnerships
Veho processes contact and billing details of its business partners, such as its contractual partners, for its internal use and in order to maintain Veho's contractual and business relationships with its partners. Examples of these include e.g. relationships with importers, logistics services, billing and accounting service providers, property services and marketing partners. In these cases, Veho's processing of personal data is usually based on its legitimate interests to enable and maintain its business partnerships.
Compliance with legal obligations and preparation for legal claims
We process personal data in order to comply with our legal obligations and with authority decisions. Examples of these include e.g. obligations arising from road traffic insurance legislation, our legal obligation to keep accounts and obligations regarding taxation. Data may also be processed to comply with our legal obligations relating to anti-money laundering (AML) and anti-terrorism legislation.
We also process personal data in order for us to prepare for legal claims, for example product and error liability claims.
Security and misuse
We use your personal data also for ensuring the information security of our services and communication networks. By processing CCTV recordings, we ensure the security of our premises. If necessary, we also use your personal data to prevent and investigate various kinds of misuse.
HOW LONG DO WE STORE YOUR PERSONAL DATA
Personal data is be kept for no longer than is necessary for the purpose for which the personal data are processed. Time limits for erasure and erasure processes are established, and expired and unnecessary personal data are erased. The period for which the personal data are stored may differ between data types and Veho may be legally obliged to store some data.
WHO PROCESSES YOUR DATA

Your personal data may also be transferred to an external service provider based on an agreement for processing on our behalf. Service providers process your personal data, as specified by Veho, and they are not allowed to use your data for their own purposes. As a result, when Veho's legal ground to process your data expires, also our service providers are required to cease processing your personal data. This does not require any further action from your part.
We use external service providers e.g. for the following purposes: research activity, digital marketing, managing customer relationships (CRM), data enrichment, payment handling, billing and debt collection, system delivery and maintenance, and for the provision of different technical platforms.
TO WHOM DO WE DISCLOSE YOUR PERSONAL DATA
The disclosure of personal data refers to situations where your personal data are made available to another controller for their own independent use. When disclosing your personal data, we comply with the prevailing data protection legislation and the grounds for disclosures set forth therein.
We disclose your personal data to car manufacturers inter alia for the purpose of warranties as well as to the importer, if the Veho itself is not the importer. Your consent will be sought if your data are disclosed.
We may disclose your personal data also to public authorities to comply with our legal obligations (for example Finnish road safety agency Trafi or the police).
If necessary, we may disclose your personal data to banking and insurance companies in connection with filing credit and insurance applications or for compliance with our legal obligations regarding anti-money laundering and anti-terrorism legislation. In the event of a payment default, we disclose your personal data also to the debt collection agencies that we use.
YOUR RIGHTS
You have the right to check what data Veho has collected about you and to request rectification or update of personal data, or to object to such processing, e.g. for marketing purposes.
In some situations, you have the right to ask us to erase your data. At your request, we erase your data unless we are legally obliged to keep it e.g. due to accounting, taxation or consumer protection legislation. In some situations referred to in data protection legislation you have the right to ask us to restrict the processing of your personal data. If the processing of your personal data is based on consent or a contract, you have the right to receive the personal data, which you have provided to us, in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format and have the right to transmit those data to another company.

Are your data transferred to outside of Europe?
We process data mainly within the European Union (EU) and European Economic Area (EEA).
